Graduation Requirements

AAEC High Schools, Inc. Graduation Requirements

AAEC has adopted through its board approval, the following graduation requirements. These requirements are meant to prepare a student to enter a University with no deficiencies, and therefore exceed those requirements set forth by the state. These requirements adopted by AAEC’s governing board in 2006.

Minimum graduation Requirements: (1 credit = 1 year of study in the subject)

English                         4 credits

Mathematics               4 credits

Science                        3 credits

World History              1 credits

World Geography       1 credits

U.S. History                 1 credits

Government                .5 credits

Economics                   .5 credits

Foreign Language       2* credits       

Fine Arts                      1 credits

Electives                      5 credits

Total                           22

*or 1 year of consecutive college language study

In addition, students must meet the standards in each of AIMS reading, writing and mathematics.
